Al earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Geology, along with an Environmental Chemistry minor from Stephen F. Austin State University.  After two successful decades of environmental engineering consulting experience, Al needed to travel less, and be with his family more.  Still wanting to share his technical knowledge and construction prowess, he decided the best way he could continue to serve professionally was to earn his Professional Inspector License.

Al is an active member of his community.  He volunteers time with his local church and as a Scoutmaster for a local Scout Troop.
